![]() ![]() When I het 35,400 the thing came alive with the G PS in my Laptop which is what I wanted all along, but Now I have the option of an external GPS should I need a remote receiver. I once again went to my mapping software and set the GPS to COM 4 and started selecting BAUD Rates one at a time and testing the GPS at each different setting. I was able to use the GPS even in my living room, worked perfect.Ī couple of days later I was playing around with the device configuration setup on my laptop and I noticed that COM 4 said GPS and my USB GPS was not plugged in. I installed the software and plugged in the USB GPS and went to y program that uses GPS "National Geographic TOPO!" and began playing with the com ports and baud rates as recommended in the instructions. ![]() ![]() I really purchased this USB GPS receiver as a last resort due to Dell being no help in getting my built in GPS unit working on my Rugged Extreme Laptop.
